We found Don through a neighbor on Michigan Hill who was just finishing their project with him. We viewed their home and talked about their building experience. They were effusive about working with Don, his communication skills, his workmanship and attention to detail.

Don participated in a bidding process to be our general contractor against several other contractors, one of which we had used twice before in a major building project. Don listened to us carefully and then offered ways to maintain the integrity of our project while showing ways to save money and thus bring the home into line with our limited budget. Furthermore, we had a limited time frame with which to complete the project to maintain the favorable financing arrangements we had made. He committed to that time frame and achieved it even working some weekends to reach the goal.

In working with Don, there were zero cost overruns, and no issues that arose that cost us additional monies. He has excellent sub-contractors that do quality work and great list of vendors offering quality products at affordable costs.

Having been through major building projects several times, we know that the relationship with a general contractor can become strained due to the complexity of a major build. However, in working with Don, this project was an absolute pleasure. He called us regularly to give us updates, keeping us fully informed at every stage of the process.

We have had many experiences with home builders. Over many years and many grey hairs later we have worked with home builders on three separate occasions in the contruction of our homes. Never in our lifetime did we expect the service, professionalism, honesty and dedication that we received when buying our last home from Reserve Mountain Builders and Don Ostrowski. During the process we added a multitude of changes to the home which were implemented without any issue. We moved into our amazingly beautiful mountain home, right on schedule, which was a first for us based on previous experiences with other builders. After a few months, as with all homes, we noticed a couple of minor issues. We notified Don, and in less than 24 hours he was there to take care of the problem. Don Ostrowski is man who is proud of the work he does and stands behind what he completes. We cannot begin to think of ever wanting to move from the wonderful home that we now have, but if we did, we would be calling Reserve Mountain Builders and Don Ostrowski to build us our next dream home.

We purchased a house from Reserve Mountain Builders in 1998. The house was in the "framing" stage. When the house was in progress, we had a few requests for changes of the specifications. Don was very cooperative with our requests. He gave us the opportunity to pick colors and other items such as plumbing fixtures and electrical fixtures. It was wonderful. The quality of the workmanship was unbelievable. When it came time for the final walk through we declined. Our response was " Why should we check your work - you are an excellent craftsman and have monitored every step of the building process". Our real surprise came when we moved in. The house was move in "spotless". We began unpacking immediately - no cleaning necessary. If we ever built a house again, there is no doubt who we would want to be our contractor - Reserve Mountain Builders, Inc is a "one of a kind" builder.
